Cambridgeshire police are treating the death as murder

A nine-year-old boy who went missing on his way to school has been found safe and well in Great Shelford.

The youngster went was last seen on his way to school in the church yard in Great Shelford this morning (Wednesday, October 3).

He did not arrive at school and when the church yard was checked he was not there.

The police helicopter and a dog unit were used as part of the search.

The public are thanked for their assistance.
