One Day actor Leo Woodall films new Apple TV+ series Prime Target in Cambridge with Daisy Waterstone
Actor Leo Woodall, who first made a name for himself in the the second series of popular HBO drama The White Lotus, has been spotted filming again in Cambridge for a new Apple TV+ series.
Working alongside him was actress Daisy Waterstone, best known as Margo Durrell in the ITV family drama The Durrells. Prior to this, she took a three-year foundation course at the Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts.
The pair were filming scenes for the upcoming Apple TV+ series Prime Target at St John’s College on 4 April.
Woodall, who also starred in the acclaimed Netflix series One Day alongside Ambika Mod, was spotted walking over the famous Bridge of Sighs.
The actor, 27, takes on the lead role in the new thriller, starring as mathematical genius Edward Brook, who works to find the pattern in prime numbers in the eight-episode series, which counts leading filmaker Ridley Scott as one of the executive producers.
London-born Woodall was seen with a rucksack on his back as he walked over the historical stone-covered bridge which leads from the Third Court to New Court at St John’s College, and later through the college courts.
The star, who was wearing brown trousers, a light pink shirt over a white T-shirt and a grey blazer covered in pin badges, also stopped to talk to a female co-star.
Also appearing in the series is American actress Quintessa Swindell, as well as more established names such as Stephen Rea, Martha Plimpton and David Morrissey.
Apple TV+ says Woodall’s character Edward hopes to crack the code that will allow him to access every computer in the world.
Its synopsis explains: “Soon he begins to realise an unseen enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it’s even born, which throws him into the orbit of Taylah Sanders, a female NSA agent, played by Swindell, who’s been tasked with watching and reporting on mathematicians’ behaviour.”
Woodall was also spotted in Cambridge last summer filming scenes for another forthcoming Apple TV project – a film titled Varsity.
Among other city centre locations, he was seen cycling along the Backs.
His other acting credits include an episode of Holby City and the Universal series The Vampire Academy.
