Dedication and time to mentor make creative director a winner.

James Dellar, creative director at Onespacemedia, is the winner of the Cambridge Independent’s Employee Award this month.

Onespacemedia colleague Nicky Hughes nominated James.

She said: “What sets James apart is his dedication to not only his job, but helping to nurture young designers. He is a fantastic mentor.”

James was awarded prizes from our sponsors, including Sunday lunch for four, courtesy of The Royal Cambridge Hotel, a fruit basket from The Cambridge Fruit Company, champagne from Ann Pettengell Recruitment and a selection of Chocolat Chocolat’s trademark creations.

James said: “It was a bit of a shock to win, bearing in mind that Nicky and I sit next to each other and I didn’t know she had nominated me.

“Working with Anglia Ruskin University gives us the opportunity to help out a bigger cause. Cambridge has a great creative scene and we want students to look at Cambridge as a creative hub.”

Our Employee Awards are held monthly in recognition of excellent workers through all sectors in the region. Nominate a colleague online.
