The autumn chill is finally here and it’s time to start thinking about the crackle of bonfires. the crucnch of toffee apples and where to see the most spectacular fireworks displays in the region. We’ve gathered together all the details for the best fireworks and bonfire celebrations to enjoy in Cambridgeshire in 2018.
FRI NOV 2
KIMBOLTON FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR
Kimbolton Castle: Fireworks display with a funfair and plenty of food and drink, as well as live music. This annual display attracts about 6,000 people. The event is organised by Kimbolton School Parents’ Association. Gates open at 6pm and the display starts at 8pm. Tickets are £12.50 for adults while children under 16 are free. Car parking is limited so visitors are reminded to arrive early to avoid disappointment

HISTON AND IMPINGTON FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA
Impington Village College playing field: The Histon and Impington Fireworks Display 2018 will return with an amazing display as always, plus rides, food and refreshments. This event raises money for the schools in Histon and Impington including the Infant School, Junior School and Impington Village College.
The event is organised to raise money for schools. Ticket prices are still to be confirmed. Gates open at 6pm and the firework display begins at 7pm.

CAMBOURNE FIREWORKS
Cambourne Fireworks Display 2018 will take place this year on Saturday 03rd November at Great Cambourne Sports Fields on Back Lane. Volunteers from Cambourne Army Cadets, Girl Guides, Police cadets, scouts and brownies will be out in force collect your Donations. The funfair will be open from 6pm till late. Free Mulled wine will be available while stocks last so come early to avoid disappointment. There will also be sparklers, hot refreshments and a licensed bar. The main event will start at 7.30pm; the timing is weather dependent for the safety of all spectators.
Please also be advised there is limited parking and everyone is encouraged to walk where possible.

FIREWORKS IN HEMINGFORD
Park Field, off London Road, St Ives. Gates open 5.00 p.m. Bonfire lit at 5.30 & the fireworks show starts at 6.30. This year the fireworks display will be set to music, visitors can enjoy one of the biggest bonfires in Cambridgeshire, a fun fair and food and drink stalls. Please don’t bring sparklers, glass bottles or cans as the event is held in a farm field where sheep will be grazing shortly afterwards. All rubbish should be taken home or put into bins provided on the field. Tickets cost £10 for an advance purchase family ticket, adults are £5 and children under 16 £2. SAWSTON BONFIRE NIGHT
Huckeridge Hill, Sawston: This free event is run by Sawston Parish Council with assistance from the ATC, Scouts and the Bellbird School PTA. Gates open at 6pm, fireworks start at 6.45pm. Spicers Sports Ground car park will be open for disabled parking.

LINTON FIREWORKS DISPLAY
Linton Infant School, Linton: Firework display, bonfire, live music, guy competition, barbecue and drink stalls. All profits from the evening – now in its 28th year – are shared between the village schools. Doors open 6pm, bonfire lit 6.30pm, display starts 7pm. £tickets £5 per person/ £12 for a family in advance. Tickets on the night rise to £6/£15 on the night. CAMBRIDGE BONFIRE NIGHT
Midsummer Common: Cambridge’s Bonfire Night is one of the most popular events in the city’s calendar. Cambridge City Council has provided this free event for more than 20 years.
The evening is the largest free pyrotechnic display in the region and is attended by around 25,000 people. Designing this year’s display is historic and multi-award winning company, Pains Fireworks, who lit up the sky for Charles and Diana’s wedding, the opening of Shakespeare’s Globe and even the inauguration of New York’s Statue of Liberty in 1886. They have been flag bearers for professional firework displays for nearly 200 years. And this year’s compere for the evening is BBC Radio Cambridgeshire presenter, Jeremy Sallis. Bonfire, food stalls and fairground rides 6pm – 10pm. The first rocket will be launched at 7pm followed by the lighting of the bonfire. A donation of £3 is encouraged to support this event.

GODMANCHESTER GRAND FIREWORK DISPLAY AND BONFIRE
Judith’s Field, Godmanchester: Gates open at 6.15pm while the bonfire is lit at 7pm and the fireworks display is at 7.30pm. Last year around 3,000 people turned up to watch the fireworks organised by Godmanchester Community Association. There will be fairground rides, mulled wine and food vans.
Gate tickets are £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. Tickets can be bought in advance for £4 for adults and £1.50 for children. For more information, visit Godmanchestercommunityassociation.org.

ELY FIREWORK DISPLAY
Cherry Hill Park, Ely: Crowds can enjoy barbecue food, take part in a Guy competition and help raise money for local charities. Gates open to the park at 5pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm with the fireworks display beginning at 7pm. Advance tickets from outlets around Ely including Tourist Information Centre: Adults £4, children £2.50, family ticket (two adults, two children) £12. On the gate prices: Adults £5, children £3.
