Money was raised for Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) as nearly 500 runners took part in the Wimpole Estate Hoohaah on Sunday (October 7).

The series of events, organised by Hoohaah, has raised more than £12,000 for the charity in 2018.

Hannah Hodgson, who is race director with Alison Cronk, said: “The atmosphere was great. It was absolutely lovely. The sun was shining – it was perfect running weather: quite cool but sunny.”

Shelly Thake, CEO of ACT, added: “A huge thank you to all our ACT runners who challenged themselves on Sunday for Addenbrooke’s, especially the team from the histopathology department who did themselves and us proud!

“We are extremely grateful for everyone’s fundraising efforts, which we will ensure improves patient care in the hospital.”

The male winner of the 10-mile race was George Lloyd, while Mel Frazier was the first woman over the line.

In 2018, the Hoohaah series of events will raise money for CamSight and Cambridge City Foodbank.
