Paediatric A&E at Addenbrooke’s Hospital benefits from toys donated by Tesco

The Tesco branch on Newmarket Road donated toys to Addenbrooke’s Hospital’s emergency paediatric unit, via Cambridge Charity Fund Raisers.

The donation followed the recent refurbishment of the store.

Ian Darler, from the charity, and Cambridge United’s stadium manager, said: “We at Cambridge Charity Fund Raisers have supported the children’s A&E and oncology departments three times previously, because obviously it’s a really just cause.

“And thankfully Tesco support that jointly with me, so that works – but equally, because of the arrangement I’ve got with Cambridge United and Cambridge Charity Fund Raisers, Tesco also support me as well by donating all the sanitary products that we put in the ladies’ toilets free of charge.”
