The £250,000 development was funded through a section 106 contribution awarded by Cambridge City Council.

The facilities will be available for use by the community after school from 4pm to 10pm, as well as at weekends from 9am to 5pm, and during school holidays.

Along with a fitness suite, a new martial arts room is available to hire by clubs on a casual or long-term basis.

The fitness suite will also host GP referral sessions, which are run by the city council.
