Person dies after being struck by train in Cambridgeshire

A person died on the railway track near Milton after being hit by a train on Wednesday (13 November).

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

British Transport Police and Cambridgeshire police were called to at about 2.15pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Paramedics also attended but the person was pronounced dead at the scene. A file will be prepared for the coroner.

All lines were blocked between Cambridge and Ely while the emergency services were at the scene.
