Photographers' winning views of Cambridge Science Park

Winners of Cambridge Science Park's photography competition have been announced.

There were three categories. Winner of the positive spirit of the park category was Rob Dyke.

He said: “You see a lot in the science park and we’re lucky that we’ve got these nice lakes.”

Rob captured people playing frisbee on a sunny day with his Nikon D7200 and 50-300mm lens.

“I just saw a group of guys playing with a frisbees, and because it’s a nice environment I got some pictures of them jumping up in the air.

“If you’ve got your eyes open you can see a nice photograph anywhere, in any situation, but particularly here because it is very beautiful.”

Lizzie Bell won the quirkiest photo of the park category.

She said: “I’m a very, very keen photographer. My dad was a great photographer so I had a great start, he taught me so much. It just bites you, it’s like a bug once you get a couple of lovely results.

“These were just so cute and I’d not seen a pure yellow duckling before in the wild. I knew it was magical when it went click.”

The natural environment category winner was Abol Chizari, CEO of Auriplex.

Jeanette Walker, director of Cambridge Science Park, said: “We are thrilled that so many people entered the park photography competition - we had so many terrific images.

“Most importantly this is an example of the sort of activities and social events we are creating on the park - a great way to meet people, make friends and identify potential business opportunities.”
