Police and ambulances called to collision on Newmarket Road in Cambridge
Police, firefighters and ambulance crews were called to a collision on Newmarket Road in Cambridge, which left two people in need of hospital treatment.
A blue Volkswagen Passat and a new grey Honda were in collision on Tuesday morning (13 May). Congestion quickly built up in the city following the crash, which happened near the Travelodge hotel.
Police said they were called at about 10.55am with reports of a collision.
An ambulance service spokesperson told the Cambridge Independent: “Two ambulances and a paramedic car were sent to Cambridge following reports of a road traffic collision. Four patients were assessed at the scene and a man and a woman were transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further assessment and care.”
