Police appeal as woman in her 30s dies after being struck by lorry on A14 at Milton




A woman in her 30s has died after being struck by a lorry on the A14.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the incident, which happened at about 9am on Milton.

Emergency services, including the East Anglian Air Ambulance’s Anglia Two helicopter, attended but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The lorry driver remained at the scene. No arrests have been made.

Detective Sergeant James Thorne said: “This is a terribly sad incident and our thoughts go out to this woman’s family and friends.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and who may have dashcam footage of the moments leading up to it.”

Both carriageways were closed, from junction 33 at Milton to junction 35 at Stow cum Quy, were closed following the tragedy.

The westbound carriageway had reopened by 11.40am, but eastbound remained closed until about 2pm.
