Police arrest wanted man while enjoying their Christmas party in Cambridge

A group of police officers interrupted their Christmas party in Cambridge to carry out the arrest of a man wanted back in prison.

In a post on Facebook, members of the force’s Southern Impact Team were having a well earned rest on their Christmas do in Cambridge, when they spotted a priority suspect who was outstanding for recall to prison.

The team were aware of the numerous arrest attempts that had been made for this male already, so they made the most of the opportunity and ceased eating in order to ensure the suspect was returned to prison.

They downed their knives and forks and surrounded the unsuspecting male, before arresting him and waiting for marked officers to transport him back to the police station, where he was then returned to prison.

The police were at pains to point out that no meals got cold in the execution of the mission.
