Police investigate burglaries at takeaway, salon and pharmacy in Cambridge




Police are investigating three break-ins in Cambridge.

The first two were burglaries at a hairdressing salon and a neighbouring takeaway in Chesterton on Friday (29 March).

A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 6.05am on Friday morning with reports of a burglary having taken place at Jane Seymour Hair, and Small Fry, on Chesterton High Street.

“Officers attended and an investigation has been launched. Anyone with any information is urged to contact police via web chat or call 101 if they do not have internet access – quoting incident 63 of 29 April.”

Then a second burglary at a pharmacy on York Street on Saturday where a window had been smashed.

Cambridgeshire police said: “We were called to reports of a break in at Well Pharmacy on York Street, Cambridge at 8.41am on Saturday.

“Officers attended and an investigation has been launched.”

They are asking anyone with information to get in touch quoting crime reference 35/21904/24.”
