Police investigate burglaries at two Cambridge post offices





Police investigations are ongoing following break-ins at two post office branches in Cambridge.

Officers were first called to the Post Office in King’s Hedges Road shortly before 8am today (Friday, 5 April).

An additional call was later made to police at 9.13am about a burglary at the Post Office in High Street, Chesterton, which is believed to have taken place overnight.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called just before 8am today (5 April) with reports of a break in at a post office in Kings Hedges, Cambridge.

“A man broke in through the front door and stole money from the till.

“At 9.13am we received an additional call about a burglary at the post office in High Street, Chesterton, that was believed to have happened overnight.

“It is unclear at this stage what has been taken.

“Investigations into both burglaries are ongoing.”
