Police name 54-year-old Cambridge man who died in A1301 crash near Sawston




A 54-year-old Cambridge man who died in a crash involving a car and a lorry near Sawston has been named by police.

Gavin Shockledge was driving a silver Audi A3 northbound on the A1301 Sawston bypass when the car was involved in a collision with a lorry travelling in the opposite direction.

Officers and paramedics were called at about 10.55am on Thursday, 18 January.

Mr Shockledge, of The Westering, Barnwell, Cambridge, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The lorry driver suffered minor injuries.
