Cambridgeshire police hunt Thomas Wall, 32, after shooting at Smithy Fen in Cottenham
A 32-year-old man is wanted by Cambridgeshire police after a shooting at Smithy Fen in Cottenham.
Detectives want to speak to Thomas Wall, 32, pictured, after a shotgun was fired at a 37-year-old woman and eight-year-old boy.
They suffered only minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment following the incident at the travellers' site, which happened just after 8am on Saturday, December 29.
Detective Inspector Anthony Grief, who is leading the investigation, said: “We’re treating this very seriously but we believe it is an isolated incident. Thankfully, nobody was seriously hurt but it could easily have been a lot worse.
“I would urge anyone who sees Wall or knows of his whereabouts to contact police immediately and not to approach him.”
