Police seek motorist after cyclist seriously injured in ‘hit and run’ collision in Cambridge

A motorist failed to stop after a collision in which a cyclist was seriously injured in Cambridge.

It happened in Histon Road, near the junction with Gilbert Road, just before 7pm on Saturday (June 26).

The 46-year-old male cyclist suffered a serious but not life-threatening injury and was taken to hospital.

The driver of the vehicle drove off towards King’s Hedges without stopping. The vehicle has only been described as a black car.

PC Jon Yaxley said: “I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision, or the car involved in the moments before the crash, or has dashcam footage to contact police.”
