Postbox topper with ocean scene delights passers-by in Cambridge

A postbox topper in Cambridge delighted passers-by with its ocean scene.

Featuring clownfish, seahorses, a starfish, coral and even an octopus, the delightful knitted creation could be seen adorning the top of the postbox in Riverside, on the corner with Priory Road.

A note was left at the side of it urging would-be vandals to steer clear, noting: “Please don’t remove me or damage me, for I am here for all to see!

“If you don’t like me, please be kind, and leave me here for others to find.

“It takes many hours of work and graft to create me in this happy craft.

“So my owner keeps an eye on me and will take me away for some TLC.”
