A Fulbourn pub has reopened with a new name after a six-figure makeover.

No longer will the people of Fulbourn be able to spend the evening in the Baker’s Arms, the new-look pub is now the Hat & Rabbit.

Natalie and Chris Cowling have taken over the running of the Greene King pub which has also introduced a new bit of tech – an app that allows customers to pre-order their lunch so it is ready on arrival.

“We’re really excited and want this to be a really family-orientated and child-friendly pub, that’s going to be the real focus for us and relate to everything we do,” said Natalie.

The pub has been redecorated internally and externally, the bar area has been increased and new furniture installed.

The change of name was the Cowlings’ idea. Natalie said: “We picked the name. It was part of our strategy when we spoke to Greene King that we wanted to change it totally. The Hat & Rabbit came from a picture we saw from Alice in Wonderland.”
