Ram raiders struck a Co-op in Great Shelford and stole a cash machine.

In yet another attack on a Co-op ATM, this one saw raiders strike at a machine located in the village high street around 11.40pm last night (September 23).

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire police said: “We were called at about 11.40pm yesterday with reports of a ram raid at the Co-op in High Street, Great Shelford.

“Three men used a Toyota Land Cruiser to drive through the front of the shop and remove the cash machine.”

The attack is the latest in a growing number of similar offences on Co-op outlets this year.

At the end of last month, raiders smashed the front of a supermarket in Fulbourn and stole the store’s cash machine in the early hours of August 31.

In July, a silver 4x4 was driven into the Co-op store in Willingham High Street and a group of men removed the cash machine and made off in a smaller dark car.
