Ram-raiders target Littleport Co-op and steal ATM machine




Ram-raiders smashed the entrance to a Co-op store and ripped the ATM from the building over the weekend.

Police were called at about 1.45am on Saturday (25 January) with reports of a break in at the Co-op in Wisbech Road, Littleport.

Officers discovered a telehandler had been driven into the building’s shutters, causing substantial damage to the entrance of the store. The cash machine had been removed from the building.

The suspects fled the scene in a saloon type vehicle and a flatbed truck. The ATM and the flatbed were abandoned on Haddenham High Street. No money had been removed from the ATM.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information or anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage which may assist the investigation, is asked to report online, quoting reference 35/5590/25 or call 101.
