Revised hours at Cambridgeshire’s waste sites and libraries
Council services will be running on restricted opening hours over the Christmas and new year period.
Cambridgeshire County Council’s customer call centre for general inquiries will be open until 5pm on Friday, December 23 and then from 9am to 5pm from December 28-30. The call centre will reopen as normal on Tuesday, January 3.
All household recycling centres will be closed from 1pm on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Cambridgeshire libraries will also close at 1pm on Christmas Eve, except Clay Farm, which will be closed from Friday, December 23. All libraries except Cambridge Central, St Ives, Histon and Clay Farm will remain closed until Tuesday, January 3, when usual opening hours resume.
Cambridge Central library will open from 9.30am-5pm on December 28, 29 and 30 – and then from 10am-5pm on December 31. Histon library (offering the Open+ service only) will open on the same days from 10am-4pm, with Clay Farm (self-service only) opening on December 29 only from 11am-2pm.
Registration offices are closed on bank holidays only during the festive period.
