Search begins for people to star in Stagecoach campaign
Bus users in Cambridgeshire are being invited to take part in a new community-inspired campaign from Stagecoach East.
The campaign, ‘Because of the Bus’, will feature real passengers and focus on how Stagecoach’s bus services make a difference to people’s everyday lives.
Bus users are invited to apply to take part and successful applicants will feature in a video and photography shoot and receive a £100 John Lewis voucher, as well as three months of free bus travel on any of Stagecoach East’s services.
The closing date for entries is July 11.
Darren Roe, managing director of Stagecoach East, said: “We often receive letters or comments from customers, explaining the positive difference bus travel makes to them in their everyday lives, and the ‘Because of
the bus’ campaign aims to bring our customers’ stories to life.
“Our customers are at the heart of our business and so it makes sense to celebrate them in our new region wide advertising campaign.”
‘Because of the Bus’ will share stories from Stagecoach East’s passengers and highlight the different ways in which the regional bus operator supports local people on a daily basis, especially recently during the pandemic, to reconnect people with loved ones, provide a mode of transport for education, work and leisure activities and help people reduce their carbon footprint by taking the bus.
The campaign will also demonstrate the ways in which Stagecoach has introduced new Covid safety standards across their services, helping local people travel safely and stay connected as the country continues on its roadmap out of lockdown.
People wishing to apply are asked to provide a short video of themselves, taken on their phone or tablet, explaining the positive difference bus travel makes to their everyday life.
