Searching for 90 Stars to volunteer at Cambridge Beer Festival
Stars, the Cambridgeshire Children's Bereavement Charity, is the nominated charity for this year's Cambridge Beer Festival.
The charity, which supports young people facing grief and dealing with loss, is now seeking 90 volunteers to help at the beer festival, which is in its 45th year.
David Culley, Stars’ chair of trustees, said: “We are delighted to be nominated as the Cambridge Beer Festival charity – it presents a great opportunity to raise much-needed funds and generate awareness to support our work in Cambridgeshire.
“We are asking for volunteers to help us make the most of this amazing opportunity.”
The CAMRA beer festival takes place from May 21 to 26 on Jesus Green in Cambridge.
It’s the longest-running CAMRA beer festival and one of the largest in the country, set to welcome around 45,000 visitors this year.
Last year the festival’s nominated charity – Blue Smile – raised £17,000 at the event.
“There is no maximum or minimum commitment, volunteers can sign up to whole, part or multiple shifts during the festival by going online,” David continued.
Volunteers can sign up directly online.
