A 29-year-old man from Cambridge, who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday (2 October), has been released on bail until 2 January.

Police were called by the ambulance service at about 12.50pm on Thursday to a property in Chesterton Road with reports of the sudden death of a woman.

An investigation is ongoing and police continue to appeal to anyone with information to come forward.

Formal identification of the victim has not taken place.

Speaking last week, Det Insp Hamish Cowley said: “I understand this is likely to be concerning to the local community, but we believe it to be an isolated incident, and we have extra patrols in the area today.”

Anyone with information should report online at www.cambs.police.uk or call 101 and quote Operation Solarium.
