Silent disco on Mill Road in Cambridge hits the right notes

Organiser Yvette Chivers was delighted with the pop-up silent disco held on the final day of the Mill Road summer fair, as children and adults enjoyed a fun day in aid of five charities.

Ms Chivers, director of the Blinding Peakers, said: “It went really, really well and was accessible to people of all ages. The music was pop, so it was good for everyone to join in.”

Ms Chivers said it was so successful that they raised some £500 for the five charities they support over the various events at the weekend.

The charities include Cam Sight, Jimmy’s Cambridge, Huntingdonshire Society for the Blind, Combat Stress and Eye Inspire. Their next event to be organised by Blinding Peakers is another silent disco at the Hop Bind in Cottenham on September 14.
