The Met Office is predicting snow for the eastern region between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sleet and snow showers will affect parts of eastern England from around 3pm on Tuesday, February 6, and for a time overnight. It is expected to last into Wednesday morning.

Expect some delays to travel, while untreated surfaces become icy leading to an increased risk of accidents or injuries. A Yellow warning has been issued.

The chief forecaster's assessment is:"A band of sleet and snow will turn more showery overnight but with some heavier bursts possible, especially over East Anglia.

"One to four cm of snow is possible in places, though rain and sleet may occur along coasts. Ice may be the more widespread hazard."
