The Year 6 class at Icknield Primary School in Sawston had their own special day as pupils cast themselves in the parts of the royal wedding.

Celebrating the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the school carried out a special ceremony.

Everyone was dressed to the nines for the day, which also included a best man’s speech, a wedding breakfast menu and even a “balanced argument about the monarchy”.

“It’s going to be a sparky start to kick off some great writing,” said headteacher Anneka Stockdale.
