Stagecoach offers bus pass refunds to Cambridge sixth form students

Students who have bought an annual bus pass from Stagecoach East and now find that their route has been axed are eligible to receive a partial refund.

A spokesperson for Stagecoach East told the Cambridge Independent: “We care about our customers and sympathise with those who will be impacted by the service changes ahead, including local students.

“We can confirm that if a student requests an annual student bus pass refund, due to their service being withdrawn from October 30, we will of course provide them with a refund.

“Refunds are calculated on a pro-rata rate to take into account the ticket usage so far this year and we will waive the £15 cancellation fee.

“We will be contacting annual student ticket purchasers via email shortly to explain this refund request process.

“Student bus pass holders wishing to request a refund can do so contacting our customer service team on 0345 241 8000.”

Stagecoach said refunds would be available on the Cambridge Town Annual Student ticket 2022-23 and Cambridgeshire Plus Annual Student ticket 2022-23.
