Station Road crash: Person taken to hospital after ‘serious’ collision in Cambridge
A person was taken to hospital after a serious single-vehicle crash in Cambridge on Friday (16 February).
Police, ambulance and fire crews attended the scene in Station Road shortly before 10am. An air ambulance was later scrambled to the collision.
A Cambridgeshire police spokesperson said on Friday: “We were called at 9.52am with reports of a single-vehicle collision on the junction between Tenison Road and Station Road in Cambridge.
“Officers and paramedics are currently at the scene, with the road closed and motorists urged to avoid the area.”
An East of England Ambulance spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.52am with reports of a collision in Station Road, Cambridge.
“We sent an ambulance, rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer vehicle and East Anglian Air Ambulance.
“One person was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further care.”
Stagecoach East has advised passengers to use the stops in Hills Road during the Station Road closure.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused at this time and will update as soon as it’s open,” a spokesperson said.
