Stories brought to life for University of Cambridge Primary School pupils

A Christmas Carol and other winter themed stories were brought to life for pupils at University of Cambridge Primary School at a storytelling event.

The school was treated to a selection of stories performed by expert storyteller Mark Fraser, with the event organised by Barratt and David Wilson Homes.

Elise Kinnear, KS1 phase leader, said: “The storytelling event was a wonderful treat for our younger children as the term draws to a close. Our school is committed to developing a community of readers and unleashing the children’s imaginations so this oral story telling session was a perfect fit.”

Mark added: “It was a great privilege to be able to share these wonderful festive stories with the pupils at University of Cambridge Primary School.

“It always amazes me that children will engage, create and be enraptured by storytelling.”

The event was another part of the developer’s outreach into the communities in which it builds.

Sales director Will Phair said: “As a leading homebuilder it is important to make a lasting impact in the communities in which we build, and encourage skills such as reading, writing, listening and creativity amongst children.”
