Stunning photographs of Anglesey Abbey’s 2019 Winter Lights display
Anglesey Abbey’s stunning Winter Lights have been impressing visitors.
The sold-out display, held for the ninth year, began on Saturday November 30 features a mix of light, colour, sound and nature.
Highlights included the illuminated Winter Garden, Lode Mill, and the riverside path – as well as the Abbey itself.
Winter Lights is running again until Sunday (December 8), and from Thursday, December 12 to Sunday, December 15.
Chloe McMath, senior visitor experience officer at Anglesey, said: “We’ve been working with Cambridge Folk Festival, Cambridge Film Festival, and also the jazz festival so we’ve got different points around the route with stages hosted by them. We’ve also got Neon Moon on site, who have set up a stage as well.”
She added: “There’s a bespoke film projected onto the house this year and also on Lode Mill. The route is actually reversed, so visitors are guided round a different way and when you walk up to the mill you get that a long impact of the projection onto the building.”
Chloe said that the National Trust-run site would welcome 33,000 visitors in total over the three weekends.
