Take our survey and share your thoughts on the future of Cambridge city centre
Cambridge’s ever-growing economy has led to developers planning for more and more lab space in the city.
But with many of these proposed for former shop units, what is the cost to residents?
The Cambridge Independent has launched a simple questionnaire below for you to share your thoughts on the city centre and its future.
Both the Beehive Centre and The Grafton are among the areas where shops are set to become labs, with only a small amount of retail remaining at the sites.
There are also plans for former office spaces in the city centre to become hotels, like at Hobson House and Lion Yard.
And with the East of England set to be one of the country’s best performing regions for economic growth between 2024-26, according to EY’s latest Regional Economic Forecast, then demand for space is likely to increase.
Look out for our analysis of the survey in the Cambridge Independent and on this website - and thank you for taking part.
