Team Waitrose signs up for the 2024 Star Shine Night Walk
The Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is to host its annual Star Shine Night Walk on Saturday, 22 June, raising funds for hospice care.
More than 300 people have already registered to walk together through the streets of Cambridge on the 10 and five-mile routes as the sun sets.
More than 50 teams have already entered so far, with groups made up of family, friends and colleagues.
One of those teams is a group of colleagues from the Waitrose branch in Trumpington.
Lynette Innocenti said: “As a branch we have not done anything like this before – individually maybe, but not as a team.
“A couple of us saw the Star Shine flyer that had been dropped off in the Trumpington branch and thought it would be a great way to raise money for a wonderful cause and it would be something we could do as a team.
“I decided to create a sign-up sheet in the branch hoping that other partners would join me.”
Star Shine Night Walk is open to children aged 10 years and over, when walking with an adult.
Online registrations close on Wednesday, 19 June, so sign up now at bit.ly/3VlHGD6. It costs £17.50 for adults or £9.50 for children in advance, with on-the-day registration priced at £20 and £10.
