Teenager charged with murder of Cambridge man Peter Anderson

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of Peter Anderson who died after being stabbed on Stourbridge Common, Cambridge.

The teenager from London, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court.

He has been charged with murder, possession of class A drugs, possession with intent to supply class A drugs, and possession of a class B drug.

A 33-year-old man arrested in connection with the investigation has been charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine. He is Alan Wakefield, 33, of Swaffham Road, Lode, near Cambridge, and is also due to appear at the same court this morning.

Mr Anderson, 46, of Heath House, Cambridge, died from stab wounds after being attacked at about 4.15pm on Wednesday, July 25.
