Teenager in critical condition after car crashes into tree in Cottenham




A 19-year-old is in a critical condition in hospital after the vehicle he was driving collided with a tree in Cottenham.

The driver was travelling eastbound on Beach Road in a silver Volkswagen Bora when it collided with a tree just after 7am yesterday (Tuesday, 10 June).

Officers and paramedics attended and the driver, a 19-year-old man, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where he remains in a critical condition.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision and an investigation has been launched.

Anyone with any information, including dash cam footage, is urged to submit this to police online quoting Operation Rock, or incident 53 of 10 June.
