The A14 is closed at Bar Hill, causing severe delays
Delays expected to continue into the afternoon
Traffic is being diverted via exit and entry slip roads due to a single vehicle collision involving a HGV, recovery work and barrier repairs.
The road is closed between junction 29 at Bar Hill and junction 31 at Girton.
There are delays of 30 minutes on the M11 northbound link to the A14, and delays of 40 minutes on the A428 eastbound towards the M11/A14 junction.
Recovery is now complete and contractors have been arranged to replace the damaged barrier.
Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journeys or seek an alternative route this morning.
Diversion:
To assist with traffic management the A14 westbound at J31 has also been closed, diverted traffic to follow the hollow triangle
Follow the A428 westbound then take the A1198 northbound to rejoin at J24 (Godmanchester).
