The prolific shoplifter from Cambridge banned from every Co-op in Cambridgeshire
A prolific shoplifter from Cambridge has been given a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order banning him from every Co-op in Cambridgeshire.
Daniel Robinson, 39, of Histon Road, Cambridge, was handed an order at Peterborough Crown Court on 8 October. It also bans him from Flannels in King Street, Cambridge, and the Teversham BP garage on Newmarket Road.
He previously pleaded guilty to assault, theft from a motor vehicle and 17 counts of theft between 21 May and 28 July after stealing items including handbags, clothing, laundry products, coffee and honey from Flannels, the Teversham BP garage, Sainsbury’s in Mill Road, Hugo Boss in Market Hill and multiple Co-Op stores.
Sgt Dan Scott, from the spree offending team, said: “Robinson is a notorious shoplifter who has caused misery to businesses across Cambridge.
“We will continue to work closely with businesses across the city to tackle shop theft and encourage businesses affected to report any breaches, which will be taken robustly by the team and the courts.”
