Thief who stole from Co-op stores in Cambridge is jailed
A 32-year-old man who stole laundry products and alcohol from Co-ops in Cambridge has been jailed.
Samuel Timbers, of Fen Road, Cambridge, was captured on CCTV stealing bottles of wine and washing powders and gels from Co-ops in Milton Road and Mill Road on five occasions between 17 and 31 January.
Timbers pleaded guilty to five counts of theft at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (11 February). He was sentenced to 40 weeks in prison after activating a suspended sentence.
Sergeant Dan Scott, from the spree offending team, said: “Timbers is the latest thief operating in Cambridge to receive a jail sentence this month.
“Following Timbers’ offending, we’re now seeking a Criminal Behaviour Order banning him from a number of Cambridge stores upon his release.”
