Traditional bar planned for Cambridge central train station's old ticket office

Architects say it'll bring life to Station Square.
The old ticket office at Cambridge central station could become the Old Ticket Office – revamped into a bar that will take “inspiration from the building’s grandeur and setting”.
“When guests enter they will immediately be drawn towards the new bar which wraps through the length of the room,” say Mackenzie Wheeler Architects.
“Details will be traditional and finishes of a high quality.
“A drinking and dining area is proposed along the whole length of frontage, bringing life to this corner of Station Square, and adding a key new venue to the overall redevelopment of Cambridge railway station.”
Development must begin within three years.
