Train services are suspended between Cambridge and Ely today (Thursday, May 3) after a person was hit by a train.

All lines are blocked, and trains are being replaced with buses while emergency services deal with the incident.

Services between Cambridge and Ipswich/Norwich will be terminated and started from Ely station.

Train operator Greater Anglia have confirmed that services may be subject to delay, cancellation or short-notice alteration.

“We apologise for the inconvenience caused,” a statement said.
