LEARN MOREA world record attempt for the ‘biggest puppet show on earth’ is under way this afternoon (Friday, October 18).
Around 700 children from Fawcett Primary School and Trumpington Meadows School are attempting the record under the guidance of the internationally recognised Creation Myth Puppet company.
Over a two-week period each child has made a bird puppet from cockatoos to ducks, peacocks to pelicans and flamingos.
The one-off attempt has been taking place at King George V Playing Fields in Trumpington.
The project has been jointly funded by Arts Council England and the Trumpington Federation, which the two primary schools are part of.
The aim is to set a new world record and unite two schools that are part of one community.
