Two arrests for dangerous driving and driving under the influence as crash in Soham leaves passengers with serious injuries
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of drugs and alcohol after a crash which left two rear seat passengers with serious injuries.
A red Ford Focus Zetec crashed into three parked cars at about 1.30am on Sunday (14 July) in Sand Street, Soham.
Two men in their 20s, who were passengers in the back seats, are in hospital after suffering serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
A 24-year old man from Ely and a 24-year-old man from Dungannon, Northern Ireland, were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. They have both been released on bail while investigations continue.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage, is urged to contact police via Cambridgeshire Constabulary's website quoting incident 37 of 14 July. Anyone without internet access should call 101 and ask to speak to a member of the road policing unit.
