Two more arrests in missing Julie Buckley case as man appears before Cambridge court charged with her murder
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a missing Cambridgeshire woman and police have confirmed two more arrests in the case.
Karl Hutchings, 47, of The Hill, Christchurch, near March, appeared at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning (17 February) charged with the murder of 54-year-old Julie Buckley, from Christchurch.
He is due to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on Wednesday (19 February), after being charged with her murder on Sunday.
A police spokesperson said: “A 49-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, both from Christchurch, have been arrested on suspicion of aiding an offender and remain in custody at this time.”
Detectives announced last Friday that they were treating the disappearance of Ms Buckley as murder. She has not been seen since late January.
Police searches are continuing in the March and Christchurch area.
