Two people in hospital after collision involving cyclist and pedestrian on Mill Road in Cambridge
Two people have been taken to hospital after a collision involving a cyclist and a pedestrian on Mill Road in Cambridge.
Police were called to the scene shortly before 9am today (Monday, November 20) and the road was closed between Mill Road bridge and Tenison Road in both directions.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 8.55am this morning to reports of a collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian in Mill Road.
“Officers and paramedics attended and two people have been taken to hospital with what initially appears to be serious, but not life threatening injuries. The road has been closed and we advise people to avoid the area.”
Stagecoach East says it is unable to serve Mill Road and is advising people to catch the number 2 bus from Emmanuel Street via Birdwood Road and Fendon Road to get to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
The company says that due to diversions already in place elsewhere, they are unable to provide an alternative route at this time.
