Death of a man found in Cambridge water is not being treated as 'suspicious' say police

Police have launched an operation near Cambridge United’s football ground on Newmarket Road after a body of a man was pulled from a small river running through Coldham’s Common this morning (November 23).

The body has since been removed from the water by Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue while officers cordoned off Coldham’s common next to the Cambs Glass Stadium.

A forensic tent was erected by police on the site but the death is being treated as ‘non suspicious’.

A police spokeswoman later said: “The death is being treated as non-suspicious and will be passed to the coroner.”
