Update: M11 northbound now open, south closed between j8 and j10 for investigations

The air ambulance has been called to the incident.

The M11 closed this morning between junctions 8 and 10 due to a six-vehicle collision.

Essex Fire and REscue confirmed that firefighters were called to the collision involving six vehicles (four cars, one LGV and one HGV) on the M11 between junctions 9 and 8, southbound.

Crews worked with paramedics to help release one person trapped in their vehicle. They have now been released.

Northbound lanes are now open.

Southbound traffic is being diverted as investigation take place. Traffic should leave the M11 at junction 10.
