Watch as police discover cocaine stash inside car door panel

A 21-year-old drug dealer from Duxford who had a stash of cocaine hidden in his car door panel has been jailed.

Officers from Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s road policing unit were on patrol on the A1307 on 6 October when they spotted a black Ford Kuga which they suspected to be involved in drug supply.

They pulled over the driver, Notis Kola, and searched his vehicle, where they found a black sock containing 17 wraps of cocaine hidden within the driver’s door panel.

A further 100 wraps of cocaine with a street value of more than £10,000 were then found in his bedroom at his home in Ringstone, Duxford.

Kola pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine at Cambridge Crown Court on Wednesday (6 November) and was sentenced to two years and four months in prison.

Det Con Amberlie Ford said: “We’re committed to taking drug dealers like Kola off the streets of Cambridgeshire and putting them before the courts. Drug dealing brings associated crime including violence and theft and will not be tolerated by police and communities.”
