A record number of people will be heading to the beautiful setting of Anglesey Abbey this December for an evening of stunning effects and innovative designs at the sixth annual winter lights event.
The sold-out festival, which is held over nine nights between November 24 and December 10, will welcome 19,500 guests to the National Trust property over the three weekends.
Among the areas to be illuminated along the 1.2-mile route are: the winter garden and silver birch grove, Lode Mill and the riverside path, as well as the abbey itself.
This year’s event also features a shadow theatre, glowing characters and hot food and drink.
“It been great. We’ve increased numbers every year and we try to accommodate as many as we can,” said Chris Reid, events organiser for Anglesey Abbey.
Tickets for next year’s event, which go on sale in the summer, are also expected to go quickly.
