Wendy’s first UK drive-through restaurant opens at Brampton Hut
Wendy’s has opened its first UK drive-through restaurant today (Monday, January 23) at the Brampton Hut interchange.
Aimed at drivers using the A1, A14 and A141, it will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Spicy nuggets, a spicy chicken sandwich and the Frosty dessert are on the menu, along with UK-only items including chicken breast fillet nuggets, the curry bean burger – square like Wendy’s beef burgers – and the avocado veggie salad.
Breakfast will be served until 10.30am, with meals such as the baconator, croissant sandwiches and the egg and cheese sandwich with optional bacon or sausage.
The Brampton Hut restaurant is owned and operated by franchisee Blank Table, marking Wendy’s second franchised traditional restaurant in the UK.
The opening hours are Monday-Thursday, 7am-10pm; Friday-Saturday, 7am-11pm, and Sunday, 8am-10pm.
It follows previous restaurant openings in Reading, Stratford, Oxford, Croydon and Romford in 2021, and Camden, Brighton, Ilford, Maidstone, Sutton, Uxbridge, Kingston and Sheffield in 2022, and delivery kitchens located across Central and Greater London, Manchester and Birmingham.
Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas created the first modern-day drive-through in 1970.
